Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences at UMD
Dr. Biswas is a graduate from the University of Dhaka, who later recieved his M.S. and PhD from the Univesity of Tokyo. He has done extensive research in the field of Microbiology and is currently studying ways to reduce bacterial contamination of food. Dr. Biswas proposed the idea behind the research Team Omega will be conducting.

Julianna Greenberg
Co-Team Liason
Major: Biological Sciences
Julianna is from the far off land of Frederick, Maryland. She is interested in ecology and zoology and hopes to follow those passions and turn them into a career. She is involved in the Food Recovery Network on campus, currently serving as an Expansion Coordinator and Recovery Leader. In her free time, Julianna enjoys trying to train her pet goats, binge watching shows on Netflix, and eating sushi.

Erin Murphy

Major: Public Health Science
Erin is a Public Health Science major with aspirations of practicing pediatric medicine. In addition to being a Gemstone Honors College student, Erin is also a HEALTHWORKS peer educator where she teaches UMD students about stress management and positive body image. She is also a member of the Ballroom at Maryland (BAM!) dance group. In her free time she likes to boogie-woogie to the latest dance craze and read novels that end with, “Happily Ever After.”

Roja Kambhampati

Major: Public Health Science
Roja is from North Potomac, Maryland and is currently a sophomore. Over the summer she interned at the University of Maryland College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. At her internship she worked on dissecting Drosophila brains in order to better understand how the brain is able to perform complex cognitive tasks. During her free time Roja loves to try out different Pinterest DIYS and shop with her friends.
Mateo Reveiz
Major: Bioengineering
Mateo is a bioengineering major and computer science minor from Bogota, Colombia. He is very interested in complex systems and multidisciplinary research and hopes to follow that path in the future. During his free time, he enjoys programming, playing the piano and spending time with his friends.

Aasheen is from North Potomac, Maryland and is currently a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Spanish. An aspiring doctor, Aasheen is a part of the pre-health fraternity Delta Epsilon Mu and a member of Public Health Without Borders. Over the summer, Aasheen interned with a lab at NIH doing research on new immunotherapy treatments for acute myeloid leukemia. Outside of school, she loves reading, shopping, and going to concerts.

Neha is from Potomac, Maryland and is currently a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering. During the school year, Neha works in the protein engineering lab under the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Maryland. In her free time, she loves running, reading, and listening to music.
